Flat Bars are merchant bar lintels comprising both hot-rolled and cold-rolled versions. They are used in the support of brickwork over clear openings like windows and doors. Traditional Flat Bars are fully hot-dip galvanised for corrosion protection. Flat Bars are not reliant on composite action and provide a high strength to weight ratio when properly specified and engineered.
